Solar & Batteries Across Queensland
From Brisbane and the coasts to Townsville, we design and install solar, batteries and EV charging built for Queensland's sun, storms and summers.

Rebates in Queensland
The federal rebates apply everywhere. Here is where Queensland stands.
Federal battery rebate
Around 30% off an eligible battery, about $250 per kWh of usable capacity today, taken straight off your quote. It gets smaller on 1 January 2027.
Around 30% off
Federal solar rebate
Small-scale technology certificates take a discount off your solar panels, worked out from your system's size and where you live.

No state battery rebate
Queensland's Battery Booster stopped taking applications in May 2024. The federal rebate is now the main help, and it applies across the state.

Free midday power (SEQ)
In South East Queensland, the Solar Sharer Offer gives eligible homes three free hours of power at midday, a good time to charge a battery.
Energex areas

Built for Queensland
Two networks connect Queensland homes, and the weather asks more of a system here than most places.
Energex
South East Queensland: Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
Ergon Energy
Regional Queensland, including Townsville, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton and Toowoomba.
Storms and cyclones
With a backup-ready system your essentials keep running when the grid goes down, and in the north we use mounting rated for cyclone winds.

Our Locations
We install right across the state. These are the areas we're asked about most.

Common Questions
Is the Queensland Battery Booster still available?
No. It stopped taking applications on 8 May 2024. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, around 30% off an eligible battery, is the rebate Queenslanders can get now.
Will a battery keep my power on in a storm?
If it's set up for backup, yes. With a backup-ready inverter and circuits, the appliances you choose keep running in an outage. Ask for backup in your quote, because not every system does it by default.
Do you install outside South East Queensland?
Yes. We install across Queensland, including Townsville and the rest of the Ergon Energy network.
