Around 30% off an eligible battery, about $250 per kWh of usable capacity today, taken straight off your quote. It gets smaller on 1 January 2027.

Common Questions
Can I get both the federal battery rebate and the NSW payment?
Yes. The federal rebate comes off your quote, and NSW adds a one-off payment when you connect the battery to a Virtual Power Plant. We set up both.
Do I need solar panels to get the NSW VPP payment?
Not since 1 July 2026. A battery on its own can now qualify, as long as it joins an approved Virtual Power Plant.
Which network am I on?
It's printed on your electricity bill. Ausgrid covers Sydney's east and north, the Central Coast and the Hunter; Endeavour Energy covers western Sydney and the Illawarra; Essential Energy covers regional NSW.
